So many "Good-byes"!

It seems that our life is full of "goodbyes" - this month we have had to say goodbye to two sets of close friends leaving for Oz and for the USA. Maybe it is a symptom of the global village that we live in, or maybe it is because I find that it is so easy to make friends with people who are also 'foreigner in a strange land' in the UK, like me!

Margaret, Taz and their children leave for the US and we so hope that they enjoy the challenges of taking on her father's business ... she's a special friend - we met through drumming. A US/Solvenian marriage - such fun friends to be with. We hope to visit them in the US soon.

Annekati, John, Johannes, Caleb and Ruben have left for Oz (via India!) and we will miss them terribly. Their roots are in India, Switzerland and the UK - and now Oz! The boys will miss them too ... lego star wars being their joint passion at the moment. We will miss seeing Ruben grow!

To all our friends who have fled the UK - we miss you and cheerish you. Thank God for email and free Skype calls. I guess the global village has its advantages too.

But one HELLO brightens our corner ... Li-Na, our new niece from China. Now here with her new Mom and Dad, our cousin Laura and Eric. Just look how beautiful she is.
