Summer holidays

So what happened this summer? The sun shone just in time for Drum Camp ... the ultimate indulgence in African drumming. The stars of the Big Top were DrumzKool (see photo) ... with the youngest just 6 years old, they put everyone else in the shade! And then before we knew it (and before much sunshine) the school holidays began!

It started in style watching the red arrows perform at Lowestoft airshow. Then a few weeks later we went to visit our special friends, Avril & Jumbo, Cirian & Bronwen in Yorkshire with a visit to a Newby Hall to finish off with ... the boys loved their play area and the Zimbabwian scultping. The holiday was filled with friends to play with and lego! Lots and lots of lego. Then we were off to camp in Lincolnshire at Grapevine ... but no photos there, Samuel was ill so we abandoned camp and came home early. But not forgetting a quick stop over with our friends in Peterborough and again more lego with their two boys, Johannes and Caleb.

To round off the holidays we had four days away visiting Pleasurewood Hills theme park in Suffolk and Dinasour Land with our cousins Matthew and Christopher. We stayed over with our family, Eric and Laura who have just moved to the most amazing house and garden in Dilham, Norfolk. Jazmine, the new addition to the family knows when she sees a good thing and decided that life there was far more luxourious than home, making Laura her best friend. She nearly moved in, but relucantly had to come home with us for puppy training classes!So that was the summer. Not much for weather, but lots of fun all the same.
